Mars blasts into Aries this evening to catapult us into 2019 with a bang.  Comfortable in his own sign, Mars’ warrior attitude emerges from the passive demeanor of Pisces and generates a bold approach to our actions.  We bulldoze our way forward and carve out our own path in the new year!

Gentle aspects between the Scorpio Moon with the Sun, Saturn and Neptune throughout the day will help keep a lid on the renewed robust energy we feel from Mars entering Aries, though, but at the stroke of midnight ET as we ring in the new year, the Moon forms an uncomfortable connection to Mars, possibly triggering aggressive action.

Weekend Planetary Energy Report for December 29 – 30, 2018

The last quarter Sun-Moon phase this morning encourages us to adjust our thinking and reorient ourselves to what we anticipate is over the horizon.  Eliminate that which is no longer needed to make way for the new.

The Libra Moon squares Saturn at 10:41 a.m. ET and forms an easy aspect to Jupiter at 11 a.m. ET, further emphasizes our need to clean up the past and look ahead.  Make plans and draw up blueprints while we are emotionally connected to our project.

In addition, we’re able to put our heart and soul into communicating our ideas.  Passionate responses are likely.

Sunday 

The Libra Moon connects to six planets both comfortably and awkwardly, generating a range of feelings.  We may find ourselves exploring emotional depths when the Moon confronts Pluto. Find a healthy outlet to express our feelings.  Later this afternoon the Moon and Jupiter prompts us to expand our circle to include others into our fold.  And later, a sudden turn of events may generate more surprises than we need.  Awkwardness between the Moon with Neptune and Mars finds us reaching for our dreams, only to have them just beyond our reach or materialize in a way we didn’t expect.

The Virgo Moon opposes Mars toward midday engaging us in competition and prompting us to jump into the fray.  The gloves come off now and we can use robust energy to drive home our point.  Indulge in hard work.

In addition, a friendly aspect between Venus and Pluto encourages strong feelings for friends and emotional responses to life that are deeper and more intense.  A need to share, to give and receive love and to belong are strong. Take steps to release our self from hidden resentment.

But a balanced approach is introduced when the Moon moves to Libra at 3:23 p.m. ET, helping us build bridges of understanding.  Seek harmony, see all sides of the story and to make one another feel accepted.

The Virgo Moon confronts Jupiter and makes a fortunate connection to Saturn this morning encouraging us to emotionally map out our plans.  We’re focusing on our ideal and want to make something big happen.   Tap into tradition and articulate dreams.

But a slow-moving minor connection between retrograde Uranus and Pluto fuels sudden and erratic behavior.  And our need for freedom of thought is stimulated when Mercury joins this energy flow also forming minor connections to Uranus and Pluto, promising to envelop us in our ideas.  We may become engrossed in a controversial subject and voice our opinions ardently.  Our mind is restless.

A stabilizing aspect is present between Venus and Saturn though, calming and helping us funnel our energy toward service.  Leave our ego behind and work for the well-being of one other if we so choose.  We can now easily strip away all that’s unnecessary to get to the core of the matter.

We’re drawn to larger, dramatic forms of beauty.  Seek rich textures and quality in the choices we make.  Moreover, enjoy a lively atmosphere and feel part of the community, especially as the Leo Moon makes a fortunate trine to Uranus and the Sun, pleasant surprises may be in store.

Later, the Moon to Virgo at 12:50 p.m. ET helps us become more aware of our surroundings.  A good cleaning may be in order.  Or at least straightening our mental and emotional outlook lifts us.

But later a misalignment between the Moon and Pluto could cause a sudden outburst of misplaced intensity.

Share good news during the current disseminating Sun-Moon phase.  We need to believe in our purpose and convey information to those who will listen.  Spread uplifting messages especially as slower moving Jupiter and Pluto form a loving novile.  Participate in the larger community and help make changes to improve our lives and the lives of others.

But minor unstable connections between Mars with Uranus and Pluto may indicate static and generate some friction and intensity.  We have restless energy to burn that needs to find a good outlet.  A project that we are passionate about consumes us, even though we may not fully understand where it might lead.

Nevertheless, an early morning fortunate trine between the Leo Moon with Jupiter and Mercury bring jubilance and a big need to communicate our happiness.  But other uncomfortable aspects between the Moon with Neptune and Pluto indicate striving for something that may not materialize.  Manage expectations.

Allow our mind to wander into imaginative territory when Mercury confronts Neptune.  Creative reverie colors our perspective and helps us imagine our lives differently.  We’re fascinated by the wonders of life and can express our enthusiasm more fully.

But with Mercury uncomfortable with Uranus unusual thoughts and flashes of insight may come to us.  Our musings may not live up to our expectations or may turn out in an unexpected way.  And with the Moon also squaring Uranus and forming an uncomfortable connection to Mercury, it’s possible our words may not come out at we intended.

Nevertheless, the Moon moves into Leo at 11:58 a.m. ET, encouraging us to express ourselves freely as a child without filters.  Our hearts are filled with love and we feel comfortable communicating our emotions.

Weekend Planetary Energy Report for December 22 – 23, 2018

The cosmos tells us to tie up loose ends and hunker down with those nearest and dearest when the Moon moves to Cancer at 11:28 a.m. ET and the Full Moon occurs about an hour later at 12:48 p.m. ET.  Take time to bask in the warmth and comfort generated within the insular shell we’ve built, especially as we continue to feel the wonder emitted from the fortunate connection between Venus and Neptune.

Some surprises and erratic behavior may still be in store, though, when Venus is involved in minor unstable connections to Pluto and Uranus.  We may become compulsive over the object of our desire or thing of beauty, or fanatical over connecting with a significant other, and this may lead to unstable outcomes.

Nevertheless, find calm in a loving novile between Mercury and Pluto, and a reasonable connection between Mercury and Mars helps us understand motivations behind actions and gives us the wherewithal to persevere.

A calm and introspective mood takes hold when the Cancer Moon opposes Saturn during early morning hours.  Look within to find meaning.  But with some discomfort among the Moon with Mercury and Jupiter, our message may be filled with unnecessary bluster.

Nevertheless, love and fantasy are back in the spotlight when the Moon forms a lovely grand trine with Neptune and Venus through midday, bringing us more hearts and flowers to add to our collection.  Meanwhile, intensity builds when the Moon opposes Pluto and emotional outbursts are possible.  A cathartic release may infuse a situation with an abundance of feeling.

The Winter Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere occurs at 5:22 p.m. ET.  The Sun now in Capricorn for the next month gives us the foothold we need to climb higher.  Put on the uniform of the role we want to play and allow ourselves to be transformed into the character that may help align us with our desires.

Furthermore, a meeting between Mercury and Jupiter adds big ideas to the energy flow, encouraging us to see the broad vistas before us.  Come up with large-scale plans for personal growth.  Business negotiations are strong.  We’re inclined to communicate to a wide audience.

A fortunate connection between Venus and Neptune emphasizes the romance of the holidays.  We’re more sensitive to beauty and feelings for one another.  We can give from the heart and sympathize with others.  Love is in the air and our spirituality comes to the fore.

Be ready for surprises when the Sun makes a fortunate aspect to Uranus.  We’re looking for new possibilities and are not interested in following the crowd. Clear the way for opportunities. And with the Moon moving to Gemini at 9:34 a.m. ET, communication and mental activity will increase.  We have a lot to say and come up with individualized ways to relay information.

Nevertheless, a serious side prevails.
