The need to splurge is strong, and it may feel difficult to stay within our boundaries when Venus confronts Jupiter. The urge to enjoy and luxuriate in high-end comforts is powerful. We want to kick up our heels and party, but there’s a strong likelihood we may overdo a good thing.
Nonetheless, the Sun finding some discomfort with Jupiter may indicate missteps with big initiatives, as we can find it challenging to grasp the big picture we are painting for ourselves.
Nevertheless, the Cancer Moon forming an early morning grand trine to Neptune and Venus exacerbates feeling of being lost in a fantasy world where unicorns and fairies play. Our need to mainline a sugar high is elevated.
But later this morning the Moon opposing Pluto and confronting Mercury generates explosive words that produce compulsive emotional responses.
And when the Moon moves to Leo at 8:53 p.m. ET, the energy builds to a late evening crescendo as we go all in for large and dramatic displays.

Daily Planetary Energy Report for May 8, 2021
Break out the party hats when Venus squares Jupiter. We may be challenged to operate in a disciplined fashion or stick to a formal structure, so instead you may just give in and enjoy luxury and the finer things in life. Indulge and share good fortune with others.
Nevertheless, if we do want to tap the breaks, the best time for that would be during morning hours when the Aries Moon confronts Mars, and later forms an easy sextile to Saturn.
Later this evening, when Venus moves into Gemini at 10:01 p.m. ET, we’re revved up to talk about what we love and laugh as we tell a good story.

We may feel more energetic and self-confident when the Sun and Mars meet. Take the initiative and begin a project that we’ve considered. In addition, while Venus confronts Jupiter, we’re more inclined to seek a rich and lavish style. Enjoy the trappings of a rich lifestyle—if only temporary. It might feel harder to stay on budget or stick to a disciplined regimen.
In addition, a deep drive bubbles up from within while Venus and Mars form an unstable connection to Pluto. We may be fanatical and working with a passion toward something for which we may not be entirely clear.
Moreover, the Moon wending its way through Libra throughout the day, touching six planets and the Sun generates a range of emotions. We’re motivated to accomplish, drink from the cup of life and see the first sprouts of progress from projects we started during last week’s New Moon under the current Crescent Moon phase. The Moon moves to Virgo at 6:14 a.m. ET realigning our attention to our immediate surroundings. We may feel a need to tidy up our perspective. Getting our emotional house in order becomes a priority. Moreover, the current Sun-Moon phase highlights our need for perfection. Allow our sharp and analytical mind to hone in on what needs to be done.
